Riverfest Fun Run
8am

Kick-off summer with a 10K, 5K, or 2-mile walk at Riverfest this Memorial Day weekend! Organized by the Farmington Recreation Center this fun run/walk is open to the whole family. $30 for the runs, $15 for the walk. Register by May 22 by 4:00 pm online by clicking here.

Wiener Dog Races

Riverfest Raft Parade

NOTE:  Below is 2025 information.  We are waiting for the updated 2026 information.

For the love of the Animas! The Riverfest Raft Parade and costume party for rafters, kayakers, and other river users.  Dress in your best Tropical Vibes costumes and join the parade.  The launch is at 11:00a.m. Sunday at Animas Park near the Animal Shelter and goes to the Miller Street take-out.  Private rafters, teams from local businesses and organizations, kayakers, canoers and anyone who wants to float the river can compete for the most outrageous costumes while highlighting the fun that the river provides. If your company or organization is interested in sponsoring a raft and getting a team on the water contact Desert River Guides. Bring your costumes and a banner or sign and have fun on the water. Private boaters please do not block the turn around at the put in or access to the take out ramp. parking at the take out is limited. Roverfest
11am – 3pm

Register at the Red Barn in Animas Park.  Walk your dog to 6 different outposts around the park to collect 6 different dog stamps.  Enjoy nature and the beauty of the park with your best friend, and take in the special communal vibes at Riverfest!  Most of all – have fun!

Car Show

Enjoy the Car Show at Cottonwood Landing.

One Nation Gourd Dance Club
12pm – 5pm

at All Veterans Memorial Park.  One Nation Gourd Dance Club will host a Gourd Dance to honor all Warriors and Veterans.

Recycled Fashion Show

at the Little Pavilion at River Reach Terrace.  Prizes will be awarded for First & Second Place in youth, teens and adult categories.
