Joe Tohonnie, Jr. and the White Mountain Apache Crown Dancers at the Little Pavilion at River Reach Terrace.

Joe Tohonnie, Jr – a proud Apache/Navajo and his apache crown dance have come a long way from sharing their culture with the world. Since the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympic Games, Joe Tohonnie, Jr has gone from a simple person to a 2x Grammy nominee in the year of 2013 and 2014, and have won multiple awards, nominated in many different indigenous awards events in his traditional singing. His Apache crown dancers have been in many events since 2002. They have shared their culture and traditions with the world. They focus on teaching the people of being respectful, being humble, and kind with the world. And with all the dancing they do, they give their blessing to the people who need it.

Joe Tohonnie, Jr and the Apache Crown dancers are proud family group members. They set out on their journey to give you and everyone the blessing and inspiration in their dancing and singing. Come and see it for yourself and you’ll understand more when you see them in person.
